Group tours available by reservation any day April though October. Cost: $4 for adult, $3 for youth and senior citizen groups. Located at Ferrum College, the Blue Ridge Institute and Museum documents, interprets and presents the traditional life and culture of the Blue Ridge and its people. The Blue Ridge Farm Museum was constructed to illustrate the day to day lifestyle of prosperous German American farmers in the year 1800. Living history interpreters prepare meals over an open hearth, bake bread in an outdoor oven, and carry out other household and farm chores of the period. The buildings are surrounded with a population of historic breeds of sheep, chickens, horses, pigs and cattle, as well as heirloom vegetables. Directions: General Location
