Enjoy this 46 x 74 foot commemoration of the wreck of the Old 97, a Southern Express train that crashed in Danville in 1903, killing 11 people and inspiring the famous ballad. Painted by famous mural artist and illustrator Wes Hardin, a second mural will begin in late 2006.
