Open Sundays between 1 pm and 3 pm.

The historic Methodist Meeting House was built in 1872 by Jacob Holt, who also constructed the Mecklenburg County Jail. The church has served the United Methodist congregation since 1873. The historic 1820 Washington Tavern, located on the grounds of the Methodist Meeting House is being used as the Parish House. Both structures can be toured on Sundays between 1PM and 3PM. Another building, a former tavern/stagecoach office located on the property now serves as a Sunday School facility and social hall.
