Headquarters of the Bedford Historical Society, the 1883 Italianate Charles and Louise Wharton House was leased to the Historical Society in 1995 under a 40-year preservation covenant and has now been restored. The Louise Wharton Memorial Garden was created by Charles Wharton, Jr. as a tribute to his mother. Both the house and garden are open for tours.
