| Clarksville |
Located at the intersection of Native American trading paths, the strategic location of Clarksville was captured by Nathaniel Bacon in 1676 and the town itself laid out in 1818. Named for Clark Royster, Clarksville still proudly claims the title of the oldest continuous tobacco market in the world. You can take a walking tour on brick lined sidewalks past more than 60 churches, homes, and businesses that date back to the late 18th century. The architecture ranges from Queen Anne to Greek Revival to Victorian. General Location Specific Location |
