Come travel the road of history in Fayette, a traditionally African American neighborhood in Martinsville at the Fayette Area Historical Museum. Three exhibits on Level One: (1) Walking Down the Street What do you see? (2) Where we were, and (3) Where Are We Today?. Together the three exhibits Illustrate two miles of road along Fayette Street, home to African American owned businesses, doctor’s offices, retail stores, churches and more. Level Two features African American history on a local and national level.

Directions:
From US Highway 220 Bus go northeast on Fayette St to museum.
