Named for Joseph Tanner, retired John H. Kerr Operations Manager, who was instrumental in getting the center established. The Tanner Environmental Center is now a regional learning center for children of all ages. Regularly scheduled interpretive programs are available to the public from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
