The Army Corps of Engineers, which operates Philpott Lake, created interpretive displays of the cultural and natural history of the lake in order to make the visitor experience more interesting. Exhibits cover various wildlife creatures such as (1) Four Seasons of the Whitetail Deer, (2) Fish that Reside in Philpott Lake, (3) American Black Bear (4) American Beaver and (5) Local Native American History. Interpretive panels also illustrate how the massive Philpott Dam was constructed.

Directions:
From Bassett travel northwest on SR-57 (Fairystone Park Hwy). Turn right onto Philpott Dam Rd and go to property.
