Stroll or hike this seven mile trail surrounded by lowland hardwoods and upland mixed oak/pine and hickory stands. Named for Robert Mumford who settled in Mecklenburg County in the 1750s, the white blazed trail passes his gravesite. Evidence of pre-dam era life including the cemetery, foundations, ice storage structure, and rock and rubble walls which line the trail. Click here for a map of the specific location.

Directions:
Take 58 West out of Boydton, turn left on Jefferson street (756), then left onto Taylor's Ferry road (705). Taylor's Ferry meets Greenwood road and turns to dirt at Greenwood Baptist Church. Trailheads located end of Taylor's Ferry Road and end of Greenwood Road, at Eagle Point.
