Day One

This morning plan to get an early start into the region so you can spend the day on the water at Buggs Island Lake. There’s more than 50,000 acres of fresh water and 800 miles of beautiful shoreline. The huge body of water also delivers electric power to the entire region. Buggs Island is considered one of the best bass fishing lakes in the country and has been voted the number one Crappie fishing lake in the US by “In-Fishernan” magazine. You can rent a boat and enjoy the day on the lake if you choose.

If fishing is more your style, we can arrange either a Pontoon Boat to let you cruise around the lake independently or a guided fishing trip with the Topwater Guide Service. The crew guides you every step of the way on your fishing experience to help you take advantage of the water conditions, type of tackle and seasonal fish patterns to bring home your catch. There’s striper fishing with fresh, live shad, while largemouth bass fishing is primarily "Catch and Release." Their equipment is state of the art.
